Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Sales for Vietnam to shape our sales organization and scale revenue to the next level. The ideal candidate is someone who is up to date on industry trends, market and competitors' activities, and serves as a business representative at major industry events, conferences or trade shows. You will lead presentations for business development and be involved in meetings with key business stakeholders. You are a team leader that is able to recruit, retain, motivate and ensure a highly effective team of sales representatives, located in the Northern, Central and Southern part of Vietnam. 

The ideal candidate has strong influencing, problem-solving and negotiation skills and a good understanding of market demand and customer purchasing behaviour is a must. 

Responsibilities:

Developing strategic plans to achieve sales targets (20%) 

  • Analysing market trends and results to determine annual unit and gross-profit plans. 
  • Forecasting and creating annual sales quotas for regions and territories to determine sales objectives. 
  • Develop a comprehensive sales and distribution strategy to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Outline objectives in key target areas such as sales volume, market share, distribution channels and profit margins.
  • Prepares forecasts and KPI reporting for the Sales leaders and upper management, for use in organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting and strategic planning. 
  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to define and execute the company’s strategic vision and operational goals.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance market position and profitability in the global spirits and wine industry.

Achieving periodical sales quotas by successfully implementing sales and marketing strategies and tactics (50%) 

  • Promote positive relationships with key customers to achieve desired revenue. 
  • Monitor changes in the industry and leverage them for business opportunities.
  • Establish customer relationship management (CRM) systems and guidelines to manage customer relationships. 
  • Provide advice when preparing bid documents and integrated proposals for key accounts, personally help close largest deals.
  • Work collaboratively across internal teams - including Distillery and Marketing 
  •  Identify and evaluate opportunities for international growth and market entry.
  •  Adapt operational strategies to meet diverse market demands and cultural nuances.
  •  Champion sustainability practices throughout the supply chain and production processes.
  • Promote environmentally responsible practices in line with industry standards and consumer expectations.

Sales team management (20%)

  • Overseeing Sales team recruitment including Sales Representatives and Sales Administration.
  • Creating training programmes to train new and existing employees in the Sales department. 
  • Leading and motivating teams of Sales Representatives to develop customer relations, increase market share and sales revenue.
  • Review Sales team performance by analysing performance reports.

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent.
  • Fluent in spoken & written English and Vietnamese
  • 5 years of experience as head of sales (or similar), developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions. 
  • Possess extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices, and an ability to coach others on them. 
  • Strength in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask. 
  • Strong organizational and planning skill
